UNCANNY BOOKS SIGNS ANONYMOUS-9 to SERIES DEAL

Uncanny Books and founder Andrew Byers are pleased to announce a contracted buy of the story elements and characters dramatized in DREAMING DEEP by author Anonymous-9 (pen-name of Elaine Ash). The deal entitles Uncanny to a forthcoming 15,000-word novelette penned by Ash, which will form the basis of a series authored by various writers. The story follows the tragic circumstances of an American ship captain who appears to lose his sanity after the disappearance of his teenaged son from a dock in Long Beach, California. The tale pays tribute to the Cthulhu mythos created by horror master H.P. Lovecraft.

Uncanny Books was founded in 2013 and has already published a variety of books including AS ABOVE, SO BELOW by Ryan Rennik, THE CHAPMAN BOOKS by Aaron French, Erik Johnson, and Adam Lewis, and the fairy tale anthology TALES OF ZO based on Chad Underkoffler’s ZORCERER OF ZO role-playing game. Founder Andrew Byers worked as a writer, editor, and book reviewer for Paperback Fanatic and Dark Discoveries magazines, as well as Hellnotes and Tales from the Bookworm’s Lair websites before starting Uncanny.

Anonymous-9 hit Kindle’s Hardboiled Best Seller list (Paid) in 2012 with HARD BITE (Blasted Heath). A sequel is pending for September 2014 titled BITE HARDER.
